Basketball Recap: Ayden Ramirez's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Freer over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo

Freer suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 75-51 to the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears.

Freer lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ayden Ramirez, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Joseph Serna, who scored ten points.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo was led to victory by Diego Guajardo and Josue Valdez. Guajardo put up 20 points, while Valdez had 20 points. Those 20 points gave Valdez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jax Barrera, who earned ten points.

Freer's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

Freer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-14 victory against Ben Bolt on the 6th. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, they have also already played their next contest, a 58-45 loss against La Feria on the 6th.
