Baseball Recap: Master's Academy Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Master's Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Lakeland Christian Vikings by a score of 6-5 on Monday. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Vikings when the teams met back in March of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Trey Seluk was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Mercado, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Master's Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-8. As for Lakeland Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

While Master's Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
