Turlock waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Modesto Panthers a 4-0 shutout. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

The result came thanks to Dutch Lawrence's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 13 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Turlock's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jadon Boyer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Cameron Henard also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Turlock's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Modesto, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Turlock will take on Pitman at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs are facing the Pride at the right time seeing as the Pride are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Modesto, they will face off against Enochs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
