Volleyball Recap: Phillipsburg Panthers vs. Hays Indians

Phillipsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hays Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 two weeks ago.

While Phillipsburg was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22.

Kynley Griffin paced Phillipsburg's offense, picking up three kills. Griffin got some help from Ana Schemper and her four assists.

Phillipsburg's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Hays, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-9.

Phillipsburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Trego on the 9th. As for Hays, they will head out to challenge Junction City at 4:00 p.m. on the 16th.
