Volleyball Recap: Alton Takes a Loss

Alton suffered their biggest defeat since April 7th on Monday. They came up short against the Parkway North Vikings, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redbirds of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-18.

Alton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Parkway North, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Alton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against O'Fallon on the 7th. As for Parkway North, they will head out on the road to challenge Kirkwood at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
