The Orange Park Raiders will take on the ED White Commanders in a holiday battle at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
ED White will be up against a hot Orange Park team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. The Raiders breezed past Leon to the tune of 71-37 last Friday. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Lions are ranked 323rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Orange Park found their leader in sophomore Gabby Mallory, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 26 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds. With that strong performance, Mallory is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Trinity Dinkins was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards.
Orange Park smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 15 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for ED White, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They blew past Westside, posting a 63-5 win. The Commanders have beaten the Wolverines the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wolverines has come to flipping the script.
ED White's win came from a few key players Orange Park will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Zariona Thomas, who went 6-for-9 from beyond the arc on her way to 18 points and five steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Redriaunna Mitchell, who shot 71% from the field en route to 12 points and eight rebounds.
Orange Park's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for ED White, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Orange Park has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 35.2 boards per game. However, it's not like ED White struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Orange Park strolled past ED White in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 50-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
