League recap: St. James' league-best four wins lead to standings climb

AAA Region VII league recap: 3/20/13

St. James had a successful week, as it won four total games to lead the league. St. James beat Georgetown 5-3.

First place in the standings of AAA Region VII is up for grabs this week, as St. James sits tied atop the standings with North Myrtle Beach.

Wilson's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 22 hits and 19 walks, both of which led the league.

The Tigers' Trevor Edgerton led the league in strikeouts this week with seven. He's first in the league with 12 total strikeouts.



Edgerton's .500 batting average (5-for-10) for Wilson was the best in the league this week. His average for the season stands at .345, which ranks second in the league. Edgerton has accumulated ten base knocks this year so far.
