Soccer Game Preview: Mid-Prairie vs. Northeast

The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks will face off against the Northeast Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Mid-Prairie's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Mid-Prairie fell victim to Regina and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Regals by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, Northeast lost 6-2 to Bellevue on Monday. Northeast have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mid-Prairie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-3. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Everything went Mid-Prairie's way against Northeast in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Mid-Prairie made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Hawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
