It was a good run, but Gibault Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes by a score of 8-6. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wooden Shoes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Tyler Frierdich was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Gibault Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Teutopolis, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Gibault Catholic and Teutopolis will both be playing Freeburg the next time they take the field. The Wooden Shoes will head out to face the Midgets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
