Battle Creek Academy comes up short despite Sofia Keller's dominant performance

The Battle Creek Academy Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Factoryville Christian. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Battle Creek Academy in their matchups with Factoryville Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Battle Creek Academy still got an impressive performance from Sofia Keller, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. That was a full 75.8% of Battle Creek Academy's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Keller, who scored two points along with 14 rebounds and four blocks.

Battle Creek Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Factoryville Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Battle Creek Academy will head out on the road to square off against Will Carleton Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Will Carleton Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Factoryville Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pansophia Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pansophia Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 688th, while Factoryville Christian is ranked 268th).
