Chaparral came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bear Creek Bears, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Wolverines have posted since May 18, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Josh Sutrina, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Josh McWilliams, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Chaparral pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
