Cherokee Trail came out on top against Eaglecrest on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Cougars put the hurt on the Raptors with a sharp 9-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-4 back in March.

Logan Kruse was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryan Chidester, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Cherokee Trail kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in six consecutive games.

Cherokee Trail's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Eaglecrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Coincidentally, Cherokee Trail and Eaglecrest will both be playing Mullen the next time they take the field. The Raptors will head out to face the Mustangs at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
