Basketball Game Preview: Shrine Catholic Knights vs. Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish

Shrine Catholic has won three straight games at home, while Notre Dame Prep has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Shrine Catholic Knights will host the Notre Dame Prep Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Shrine Catholic will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Bishop Foley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Shrine Catholic escaped with a win on Friday against Bishop Foley by the margin of a single free throw, 39-38.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame Prep humbled Holly with a 59-21 victory. The Fighting Irish have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 24 points or more this season.

Notre Dame Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Shrine Catholic, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
