Recap: Worth County Rams vs. Sumter County Panthers
The Worth County Rams pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Sumter County 62-58. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Worth County in their matchups with Sumter County: they've now lost three in a row.
Worth County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being James Raymond, who scored 21 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Raymond continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of ASHTON WILLIAMS, who scored 17 points along with three steals and three blocks.
Worth County's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Sumter County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.
Worth County will be playing at home against Berrien at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Berrien is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Sumter County, they will head out on the road to challenge Jeff Davis at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jeff Davis is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.4 points per game.
