Baseball Recap: Uniontown Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Uniontown's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Elizabeth Forward Warriors on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Monday.

Uniontown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shane Kelly, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Kelly is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Uniontown and nudges their season record down to 9-11. As for Elizabeth Forward, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Uniontown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elizabeth Forward, they have already played their next game, a 9-3 win against Ligonier Valley on the 7th.
