The Delta Rabbits are taking a road trip to take on the Manti Templars at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Delta is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Delta turned things around against Millard on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Eagles. The Rabbits not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th (when they won 22-4).
Caden Meinhardt looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Delta: the team is 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Manti beat Delta 9-5 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Templars in their matchups with the Rabbits: they've now won five in a row.
Lane Cox and Chase Keisel made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Cox struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Keisel tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Cox has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. At bat, Cox went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Keisel went 1-for-5 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Mason Cherry was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
The win got Manti back to even at 9-9. As for Delta, their record is now 9-10.
Delta's speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Rabbits have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Manti, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Delta continue to outrun the ball?
Delta couldn't quite get it done against Manti in their previous meeting on Tuesday as they fell 9-5. Can the Rabbits avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
