Football Game Recap: Needville vs. Columbia

Needville were close but not close enough on Friday as they fell 28-31 to Columbia. The defeat was a vexing one since Needville were expected to win based on their state ranking.

Needville got a solid performance out of junior Ashton Stredick, who rushed for 100 yards and 4 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. Stredick has been a consistent playmaker for Needville as this was the 3rd good game in a row from him.

The loss dropped Needville's record to 4-3. The win bumped Columbia's record up to 4-2.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Needville will have some time to rest before their next match, which is against Fulshear in two weeks at 7:30 PM. As for Columbia, they will face off against Fulshear. Unlike Columbia, Fulshear will be limping in after taking a loss.
