Volleyball Recap: Hibriten Takes a Loss

Hibriten was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the R-S Central Hilltoppers. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hilltoppers 25-20 in the first set.

Hibriten started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.

R-S Central was led to victory by Cam Johnson and Teagan Bigelow. Johnson had five digs and five aces, while Bigelow had three aces. Those five aces gave Johnson a new career-high.

Hibriten's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for R-S Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Hibriten has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Patton on the 11th. As for R-S Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against West Caldwell on the 11th.
