Volleyball Recap: Crown Point Comes Up Short

Crown Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Boone Grove Wolves.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Crown Point sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 24-26, 15-11.

Mikelangelo Brutto paced Crown Point's offense, picking up nine kills. Brutto got some help from KJ Vaisatas and his eight assists.

Crown Point's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Boone Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Crown Point has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Penn on the 26th. As for Boone Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Munster on the 26th.
