Volleyball Recap: Stargate School's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Stargate School can now relate to. They came up short against the Village Mountaineers on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since October 7th.

Their offense was headlined by Elizabeth (Ellie) Romary and Chloe Pan, who picked up 11 kills apiece. They got some help from Reese White and her 22 assists. Morgan Stitzer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

With the loss, Stargate School broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 23-3. As for Village, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Stargate School has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Bayfield on the 14th. As for Village, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Forge Christian on the 13th.
