            Softball Recap: Person Rockets vs. Southern Alamance Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            Person was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight  loss. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southern Alamance Patriots. The Rockets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won  10-9.
 Macey Bowes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
 At the plate,  Madison Snead was cooking despite her team's loss,   getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs and two  doubles. Another player making a difference was  Kenzley Horne, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs.
Person's record now sits at 6-13. As for Southern Alamance,  the  win  got them back to even at 9-9.
 Person does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southern Alamance, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against South Granville  at 3:00  p.m. The timing isn't great for the Patriots: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while the Vikings have snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
