Basketball Recap: Star Valley Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Star Valley waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 46-39 win over the Riverton Wolverines. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 37-27 back in January.

Star Valley was led to victory by Emily Dana and Ambrey Nelson. Dana dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Nelson posted nine points along with six boards and five steals. Nelson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Kambree Johnson was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.

Star Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Star Valley now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Riverton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
