Volleyball Recap: Lubbock Comes Up Short

Lubbock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They came up short against the Amarillo Sandies, falling 3-0. The Westerners were not able to make up for their defeat to the Sandies from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Lubbock's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Amarillo, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lubbock is set to take on their familiar foe Lubbock-Cooper at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Amarillo will challenge rival Tascosa at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
