Recap: Gainesville Leopards vs. Krum Bobcats
The Gainesville Leopards pushed their score all the way to 35 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Krum 41-35. Gainesville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Krum apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Gainesville's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ladanian White, who rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Bugg Kemp was another key contributor, picking up 136 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Krum to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ty Taber, who threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Haidyn Jones, who rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Gainesville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Krum, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
Gainesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Krum will square off against Sunnyvale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sunnyvale will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
