After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westmoreland, Clay County was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trousdale County Yellowjackets, sneaking past 6-4. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets back in March, they had to take a 4-1 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Aiden Keen, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Clay County's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Trousdale County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Clay County will head out on the road to challenge Macon County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Trousdale County, they will challenge Monroe County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
