Baseball Game Preview: Hornell Red Raiders vs. Livonia Bulldogs

The Hornell Red Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Livonia Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hornell has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Letchworth hit Hornell with a five-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Raiders fell 13-9 to the Legends.

Logan Vondracek and Brody Flaitz stepped up to the plate in a big way. Vondracek went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Flaitz got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI. Ashton Hooker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Livonia has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.53 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They fell just short of Le Roy by a score of 14-13. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Oatkan Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Hornell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Livonia, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Hornell couldn't quite finish off Livonia in their previous matchup on Thursday and fell 7-5. Can the Red Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
