Baseball Game Preview: Orangefield Bobcats vs. Anahuac Panthers

Orangefield has gone 7-1 against Anahuac recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Orangefield Bobcats duke it out with Anahuac Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Orangefield will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Carson Gonzales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ethan Sanders, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Johnson, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Orangefield's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Anahuac, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-9-1.
