Baseball Game Preview: Dreher Blue Devils vs. Camden Bulldogs

Dreher hasn't had much luck against Camden recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Two weeks ago, Dreher got the win against Richland Northeast by a conclusive 10-4. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Camden waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Red Foxes. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Thomas Bishop made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Bishop was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Brady Furniss was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Mac Mellichamp, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Dreher's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Camden, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
