Basketball Recap: Waskom Victorious

While Waskom didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past the New Diana Eagles with a 59-53 win on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 63-48 last Tuesday.

Waskom has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for New Diana, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.

Waskom wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-45 loss against Union Grove on the 13th. As for New Diana, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-26 victory against King's Academy on the 13th.
