Baseball Recap: El Rancho Dons vs. Tahquitz Titans
El Rancho lost a close one when they played on Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Saturday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a rough 9-2 loss at the hands of the Tahquitz Titans. El Rancho has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
El Rancho saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jimmy Silvas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
El Rancho's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Tahquitz, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-2-1.
El Rancho will head out on the road to face off against La Serna at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tahquitz, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tahquitz's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so West Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
