Basketball Game Preview: Lodi Academy Titans vs. Delta Charter Dragons

The Lodi Academy Titans will face off against the Delta Charter Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lodi Academy will be strutting in after a win while Delta Charter will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Lodi Academy turned things around against Tioga on Monday. They breezed by the Timberwolves to the tune of 75-30. With the Titans ahead 49-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Lodi Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Cole Berreth, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to six assists and six boards, and Ty Zinke, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Those six assists gave Berreth a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cedric Johnson, who posted eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Lodi Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Delta Charter came up short against Elliot Christian on Thursday and fell 50-38.

Delta Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Lodi Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Lodi Academy ended up a good deal behind Delta Charter in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 61-46. Can Lodi Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
