Ansonia is 9-1 against Seymour since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Chargers will challenge the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. Ansonia is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Ansonia proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 42) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They slipped by Naugatuck 34-33.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Seymour and Woodland Regional have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Wildcats took a 28-14 bruising from the Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Hawks are ranked tenth).

Ansonia's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Seymour, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-1.

Ansonia came up short against Seymour in their previous meeting back in September, falling 21-14. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Wildcats' Connor Shea, who rushed for 105 yards and three touchdowns.
