Volleyball Recap: Logan Hummel and Blake Reynolds Secure Win for Central

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Central walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the DuBois Beavers on Wednesday. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Beavers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Central had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-22.

Central was led to victory by Blake Reynolds and Logan Hummel. Reynolds had 18 digs and two aces, while Hummel had 41 assists and five digs. Those 18 digs gave Reynolds a new career-high.

Central pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for DuBois, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Central nor DuBois have any future games scheduled.
