Baseball Recap: Hudson Catholic Comes Up Short

Hudson Catholic managed to slip by North Bergen the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hawks lost 13-1 to the Bruins on Thursday. The defeat leaves the Hawks still looking for their first win of the season.

Hudson Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Caddle, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Jose Suero also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Hudson Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for North Bergen, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Hudson Catholic will host Indian Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Bergen, they will head out on the road to challenge Passaic on Friday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.3 runs per game on average), something the Bruins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
