Football Recap: Los Osos Skates Past Glendora with Ease

Los Osos hadn't done well against Glendora recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Grizzlies blew past the Tartans 37-7. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

Los Osos didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cole Perry, Jacob Castro, Jayce Ortiz, and Amari Jones picked up one apiece. Los Osos is 2-1 when Castro posts one or more interceptions, but 2-5 otherwise. Perry got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Los Osos, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jack Abbott, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Los Osos pushed their record up to 4-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.0 points over those games. As for Glendora, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

As of now, neither Los Osos nor the Tartans have any future games scheduled.
