Recap: Umatilla Bulldogs vs. Central Bears
The Umatilla Bulldogs''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 40-26 win over Central. The win was just what Umatilla needed coming off of a 42-20 defeat in their prior matchup.
Logan Bowling was on fire: he rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns. Bowling was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Another player making a difference was Dallas Cottle, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Central's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Sebastian Valerio-estevez, who picked up 91 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Timothy Gaynor was another key contributor, gaining 104 total yards and a touchdown.
Umatilla's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Central, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Umatilla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central also has no future games currently scheduled.
