Preview: Salem Generals vs. Argyle Scots
The Salem Generals will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Argyle Scots at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Salem came up short against Granville and fell 43-33.
Meanwhile, Argyle's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hartford Central, falling 62-24. Argyle has not had much luck with Hartford Central recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Salem's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Argyle, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
Salem strolled past Argyle in their previous meeting last Wednesday by a score of 41-25. Does Salem have another victory up their sleeve, or will Argyle turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
