Basketball Recap: Columbus East Olympians vs. Jennings County Panthers
Columbus East lost against Jennings County back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Columbus East Olympians took an 80-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jennings County Panthers. The Olympians' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, Columbus East still got an impressive performance from Keaton Lawson, who dropped a triple-double with 21 points, 11 boards, and 12 assists. Lawson is becoming a predictor of Columbus East's success: when he posts at least ten rebounds the team is 8-1 (and 3-8 when he doesn't). Grayson Watters also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Looking ahead, Columbus East will head out to challenge Madison at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st. As for Jennings County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-69 defeat against Jeffersonville on the 15th.
