Baseball Recap: Payson Takes a Loss

Payson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Uintah Utes, falling 19-3. The Lions were not able to make up for their loss to the Utes from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Payson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddux DeGraffenried, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Payson's record is now 5-11. As for Uintah, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.

While Payson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
