The Westwood Redhawks will challenge the Providence Athletic Club Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Westwood's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over Ridge View. The Redhawks haven't had any issues with the Blazers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Westwood let Nayanna Shannon and Griffin Ella run wild. Shannon scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Ella scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave Ella a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brass Jersey, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
Meanwhile, Providence Athletic Club had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They blew past the Cardinals 19-12. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this game were averaging 2.09 runs allowed.
Kaylin Otey made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two hits in nine consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases marked the first that she snagged this season.
In other batting news, Providence Athletic Club got a massive performance out of Kirsten Thomas, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Thomas also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Atalie Gauntt was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Providence Athletic Club kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.
Westwood's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Providence Athletic Club, their victory bumped their record up to 10-1.
