Softball Recap: Easton Triumphs

Easton won the last time they faced Colonel Richardson and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors walked away with a 6-2 win over the Colonels.

Lyla Roe made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over six innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI were her first of the season.

In other batting news, Sammy Townsend was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Easton's record is now 6-2. As for Colonel Richardson, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Easton will take on rival St. Michaels at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Colonel Richardson is set to challenge their familiar foe Cambridge-South Dorchester at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
