Adna put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Ilwaco Fishermen with a sharp 11-5 victory. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 10-0 win the Fishermen walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Cash Smith was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Owen Fagernes was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Adna was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .353 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Adna's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for Ilwaco, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.

Adna and Ilwaco should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Pirates (ranked 44th) will meet Pe Ell/Willapa Valley (ranked 136th) at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Adna 1.1, Pe Ell/Willapa Valley 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Ilwaco will square off against North Beach at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (55 vs. 305).
