Basketball Recap: Lyle/Pacelli Comes Up Short

Lyle/Pacelli lost against Houston back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lyle/Pacelli Athletics were beaten by the Houston Hurricanes 66-37. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Leading Houston to victory were Avery Kingsley and Aubry Boldt. Kingsley went 10 for 14 on her way to 22 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards, while Boldt went 13 of 24 on her way to 27 points and six rebounds. Kingsley's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jorja Meyer, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Lyle/Pacelli's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-8. As for Houston, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Lyle/Pacelli will head out to face off against Kingsland at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Houston, they will welcome Southland at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
