Softball Recap: Gorham Fayette Eagles vs. Pettisville Blackbirds
Gorham Fayette extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 22 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-11 in the process. They lost 22-1 to the Pettisville Blackbirds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blackbirds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-2 back in March.
As for Pettisville, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The result was nothing new for the Blackbirds, who have now won seven contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
For Pettisville's part, Macy Hoylman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Hoylman was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
