Football Recap: Andrews Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Andrews lost against Estacado back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Matadors. The Mustangs gained 84 more yards on the day, but it was the Matadors that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Andrews still got an impressive performance from JaeSean DeBouse, who rushed for 91 yards and three touchdowns. Blas Hernandez helped out on the ground, rushing for 90 yards.

Cedric Ross had a dynamite game For Estacado., rushing for 97 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, while also picking up 31 receiving yards and one TD.

Andrews' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Estacado, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Andrews will face off against Bushland at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The Mustangs are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Estacado, they will challenge Levelland at 7:00 p.m. on the 10th. The matchup will give the Matadors their first taste of in-conference action this season.
