Softball Recap: Southlake Carroll Gets the Win

Southlake Carroll won the last time they faced Northwest and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Dragons came out on top against the Texans by a score of 8-3.

Audrey Stroud looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Olivia Mccarrick, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emmy May, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Southlake Carroll was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 10-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Southlake Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Northwest, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Southlake Carroll will challenge rival Bell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Northwest is set to square off against their familiar foe Byron Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
