Baseball Recap: Hollis-Brookline's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Hollis-Brookline strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Milford Spartans an 11-0 shutout. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cavaliers yet this season.

Dylan Morelli was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Thomas Howie was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Gryniewicz, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Hollis-Brookline kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

Hollis-Brookline's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Milford, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
