Basketball Recap: Roanoke Valley Christian Gets the Win

Roanoke Valley Christian won the last time they faced Christian Heritage Academy, and Luke Somers did his part to make sure it happened again. The Roanoke Valley Christian EAGLES put the hurt on the Christian Heritage Academy Knights with a sharp 56-33 victory on Monday thanks in part to Somers, who went 7 of 10 en route to 21 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Somers is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season.

Christian Heritage Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hunter Manning, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Luke Mason, who earned eight points.

Roanoke Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Christian Heritage Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Roanoke Valley Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-41 victory against Dayspring Christian Academy on the 14th. Christian Heritage Academy has also already played their next match, a 46-26 loss against Faith Christian on the 14th.
