Basketball Game Preview: Two Harbors Agates vs. Ely Timberwolves

Two Harbors and Ely are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Two Harbors Agates will head out on the road to challenge the Ely Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Two Harbors has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with six straight defeats, while Ely will come in with five straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Two Harbors was beaten by North Woods 78-47.

While Ely didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Cook County, posting a 92-63 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 55-31.

Two Harbors' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Ely, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-0.

Two Harbors strolled past Ely when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 65-47. Will Two Harbors repeat their success, or does Ely have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
