Baseball Recap: Moriah Comes Up Short at Home Against Saranac Lake

Moriah unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 8-3 to the Saranac Lake Red Storm on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 9-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Moriah saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joey Kazlo, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Moriah beat Saranac Lake by a score of 16-3 on Friday.
